About Us

Sullivan was founded in 2001 by Joe Sullivan with one goal in mind:  to provide the best, most personalized and caring benefits support possible for mid-sized companies.  At Sullivan, we truly care about our customers and their employees and are dedicated to serving them the same way we would serve our own families.  Since our inception we have experienced steady growth, but we have never outgrown our founding principles and we never will.

A broad variety of medical plans, voluntary products and other employee benefits plans from carriers and vendors across the United States are available to Sullivan customers. We specialize in evaluating, negotiating with, and recommending insurers and providers to our clients and we employ rigorous selection criteria and performance objectives when considering a vendor.

Sullivan is a regional employee benefits consulting firm, specializing in the underwriting and implementation of large group benefit plans for healthcare, vision, and other programs.  We offer value-added services such as wellness programs and customer support with communications regarding our clients’ benefits plans.

Our firm prides itself on the fact that we have full time underwriters on staff who were trained by the insurance carriers themselves.  That gives us the ability to fully understand the many offerings from vendors, accurately evaluate them, and negotiate the best rates possible for our clients.

We have assembled the very finest staff of benefits professionals around.  Our experience is matched only by our intelligence and integrity. Further, our associates participate in continuous education and training, and have cutting edge technical resources at their disposal. Our highly specialized consultants have helped us build the Sullivan reputation for excellence and have led our growth and prosperity.

What Others Say About Us

Sullivan understands our business. They know all of our employees on a first name basis. That is very, very unique. Other brokers don’t have that level of personal knowledge.
